Lori Boland is an experienced counsellor who specializes in mental health (anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-injury, eating disorders and suicidality), as well as family support through both individual work with youth and/or their parents. Lori is currently employed part-time as a clinical social worker at BC Children’s Hospital, in the adolescent psychiatric and psychiatric emergency units. As a parent to two neurodivergent kids, she understands and can navigate the mental health system from the position of both a consumer and an advocate. Most importantly, Lori is known to her clients as a compassionate, authentic, solution focused therapist who is able to teach simple but effective, evidence-based tools for managing stress while increasing calm and happiness.
Lori is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness counselling, mindful self-compassion and trauma-informed care.
